You may not know much about the French techno and house scene (except for Justice), as it has stayed true to the music's roots remaining mostly underground. Although remaining lowkey, one man in particular from this scene is garnering a lot of attention from EDM fans and it's only right to recognize his talent. Gesaffelstein hails from France and produces very dark, but groovy, techno tracks (something not even the average EDM fan knows much about.)
His latest release, "Depravity", (certainly no peak time banger, but a head-bobbing techno beat that will get you moving) is part of a two track EP entitled, "Rise of Depravity", and is out now through Brodinski's own Bromance Records. This is a must have for any iTunes library.
Gesaffelstein (real name Mike Levy) is a French electronic producer from Paris, France. He has remixed the likes of ZZT, Cassius and Sei A, and has released tracks on labels such as Turbo Recordings, and Bromance, among others. His sound is characterized as techon with a dark, yet groovy, twist making Gesaffelstein a household name in techno.
